Aloha adventurers and welcome to another Friday thought here on Fred.\ Holidays TV. As you will know from last week’s video, we talked about the fact that Fred.\ Holidays offers an excellent range of land based trips as well as the different types of cruises that are available. So today we are going to look at these in a bit more detail.
On the Fred.\ Holidays site we have a wide variety of city breaks available that can take you all over Europe and even to the Far East. From well-known cosmopolitan capitals such as Paris, Rome and Berlin to slightly more unfamiliar destinations like Vilnius in Lithuania, Tallinn in Estonia and the beautiful Bulgarian city of Sofia. So if you are looking for something a little bit different there are plenty of options.
Particularly popular destinations to visit in 2015 include the two European capitals of culture; Pilsen and Mons. Pilsen is located in the Czech Republic and is famous for its Pilsner lager which is recognised all over the world, whilst Mons can be found to the south of Brussels in Belgium. Both of these cities have events happening throughout the year to celebrate their status as Capitals of Culture.
Other hot destinations for 2015 include Salzburg where you can commemorate 50 years of the hit film ‘The Sound of Music’, Amsterdam where you can look back at the work of Vincent Van Gogh to mark 125 years since his death, and the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana where everyone will be heading back to their Roman routes to celebrate the city’s 2000th birthday.
As well as city breaks, the Fred.\ Holidays website also offers the chance to take in some beautiful landscapes around Europe. The breath-taking backdrop of the Alps can be enjoyed from a number of destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, whilst serene places like Lake Como and Lake Constance provide the ideal surroundings in which to take it easy for a few days.
As the summer starts to get into full swing, Europe comes alive with a host of beer festivals all over the continent. There are world famous events such as Oktoberfest in Munich, but we also have a fantastic choice of lesser known festivals that offer just as much fun, just as much frivolity, and just as much of the local brew. Check out the beer festivals area of the website to find events in places such as Hamburg, Pilsen and Prague.
Whilst Christmas may seem like the very last thing on your mind at this time of year, now is the best time to plan your trip to one of Europe’s vibrant Christmas markets. Practically every town and city on the continent can offer its very own dose of yuletide cheer around the festive period and we can offer great packages to many of them. Book now for some great deals and avoid the rush.
And, as I mentioned at the start, it’s not just Europe that you can visit when you book with Fred.\ Holidays as there’s also the opportunity to take in the sights of China. We offer trips to Shanghai and Beijing so that you can see famous attractions such as the Forbidden City, Yu Garden, and even get the chance to meet China’s adorable national animal; the panda.
Finally, the Fred.\ Holidays 2015 brochure is now available. Here it is (holds up brochure), so why not head over to the website now and order your copy for free.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the type of trips you can look forward to when booking with us, so be sure to check out the website for more details. Thanks a lot for watching today and I’ll see you again for another Friday thought from Fred.\.
