I began working in travel in 2015 when I started as cabin crew within the Commercial Airline Industry. I flew for a fantastic two years and after ticking off my childhood dream of soaring the skies, I took a career break to initialise my next career move. With a strong passion for the travel industry I knew I wanted to stay within this sector, which is when I applied for a sales consultant role and started my career within Fred.\ River Cruises in the Spring of 2017. I have now transferred these skills to work as an administration assistant, constantly eager to learn more about the wonderful world of river cruising.
River cruising is a very unique way to see the world from the comfort of your own balcony, public decking areas, or even from the restaurants of our well maintained vessels. There is no doubt you will explore lots of hidden treasures in port and meet like-minded people on your travels.
I have been lucky to experience Amadeus River Cruises and AmaWaterways. I have broadened my spectrum of river cruising by getting to experience various products within Europe.
I absolutely adore the Rhine River and its fairy tale charm. Miles of scenic cruising through ports full of character. Each region with a contrast to the previous. Cologne was one of my favourite places, an industrial, gothic city full of life and culture. Taking in all of the gothic buildings and getting to see the world famous, Cologne Cathedral was breath-taking. With it being such a big city, a group of us decided to go on board a sight-seeing train around the city which took us to the Cologne Zoo and Botanical Gardens. We were also able to squeeze in a cable car ride over the city and enjoyed a creamy milkshake in Rhein Park before returning to the ship.
Sailing into Cochem on my first ever river cruise sailing on the Rhine with Amadeus River Cruises. As we sailed into Cochem the views just got better and better, the thing that caught my eye the most was ‘Reichsburg Cochem.’ This is a large castle that nestles in between the hills and vineyards and towers above the town. It gives off a magical vibe, and stands out, almost like a German Hogwarts. Not to mention the town blending in beneath it; the vintage buildings, quarries with children playing, the warm atmosphere given off by the locals, the flowers in blossom hanging down from the brick work bridge, and the panorama awaiting for you to set off and explore the town further!
A personalised and tailored service is provided by our passionate and experienced team.
